Opinions on this bull

This is our other bull, a home raised fellow.  He has been on grass for about 4 months in this photo, with only light breeding duties. We are planning on collecting him this fall.

Thank you Freddy for the feedback.  He is a Galloway bull, so I didn't figure his pedigree would mean much to very many folks

I figured Galloway ! Thick !!!! Long bodied , its a wonder to me why more people aren't breeding them !

Jack, we had to sell her when we trimmed down due to drought.  I will look thru the hard drive and see if I have a good one of her. She was thick and broody, but a tad straight through the shoulder. Had a whale of a rump though. Good milk and fertility.

Saw this bull in early July.  There is a lot to like about him.

Bull seems to have alot of good about him. Natural thickness and fleshing ability with minimal inputs.

Big, solid meaty bull! What would you guess his weight. I'm in at well over a ton.  I really like how he carries his fat. He has considerable cover yet you don't see any deposits on his tail head.

Thanks OH Breeder and XBar for taking time to comment.  The bull has been forage raised and maintained, with the exception of 8 weeks of light feeding post weaning/pre-Denver show. He did get a few lbs of soy hulls part of last winter, residing with some younger bulls.

He is 3 years old, and the closely cropped photo leaves not much for size reference...my bad.  We haven't weighed him since a yearling....and I am very bad at guessing bulls.  I will "guess" 1700.  Maybe HAB will read this and give his estimate, since he recently saw the bull in person.

ALTSimmy... Congrats on identifying breed....harder to do when they are slicked off for summer

The thing that stands out to me about the Galloway cattle is their depth of rib. That is one deep bodied bull!!
