I got my red angus journal and are two known carrier bulls. I found two close up comon ancestors in their pedigrees. These probably aren't the problem. Anyone have any theories or heard anything. Osteopetrosis has apparently been found in simentals, herfords, black angus, and holsteins. This dealis new to me.

Maybe it started in the Angus breed. Then in a effort to make simmi's black it was transfered to the simmi's. Then since alot of holsteins are bred to angus bulls somehow a holstein bull(with angus blood in him) was introduced to the A.I. world. Just a theory. ;D

VERY crude flow chart of what I think happened anyhow.  Started in Holsteins, passed to Angus when they tried to make em bigger, then to Simmentals when they made Simmi's black, and to RA through red animals that were the result of two black parents.
