OK, so I have to share. Our first show was yesterday, and went fairly well. Our calves would not walk (see the last photo!), but we made it through the day with only one animal getting loose and my middle daughter getting jumped! So here goes:

The first photo is our "set up". We had to park in the sun since the truck got stuck in the mud where we were trying to park

The second photo is our January BC Lookout half blood
The third photo is our April Bred and Owned (out of our good cow)
The fourth photo is our good show cow, Built Right, on the trailer with her calf
The fifth picture is all of our girls in the final drive (yea!). The red heifer (OK, orange!) is my middle daughter's May purebred- with my middle daughter showing her and the heifer on the other end is the Lookout half blood with my oldest daughter showing her with a friend of ours showing our April B & O. The cow calf pair is in there also, behind the half blood, and she is the one that won champion Simmental of the show.

Our December bull calf won the Simmental bull division. Not the greatest pic, but there were a lot of people interested in him! The judge loved him! That is my daughter showing him. The last picture is of our Amigo bull calf; this is what he does ALL THE TIME! But by the end of the day, both bull calves (the Amigo and Dominator) were crashed on their sides waiting around the ring! It was kind of embarrassing, but lots of people got a good laugh! So we ended up with Champion Simmental female and Champion and Reserve Champion Simmental bulls! So a good day... sunburned, but good...
oh, and our cow is sheared. We clipped off all her hair in March, our top priority is to get them bred back, and when they lots of hair that is not easy! Her calf's sire is STF Dominator, a new bull Shoal Creek is promoting

Congrats firesweep, good looking show string. The only thing I can think of that would look better in your trailer than your cattle would be mine. (lol)

I have to say that the trailer was the BEST investment we have made (besides our good Built Right cow!). We have MANY years left to do with this (oldest is 14, youngest is 6) so it will last the entire time the kids want to show. We fit 8 head in it easily, with room to spare!
