We had our first fair of the season for us today; Fair Grove. He had a fantastic day, the weather was nice and not too hot! We took 8 head, and ended up with two champion awards and two reserve champion awards.
The first pic is one of our Rendition twin bull calves. One was Champion Simmental bull and the other was Reserve Champion. The one pictured was in the supreme drive, and got the honorable mention (the Angus won it). They are October born and just weaned at 7 months, on mothers milk and grass/hay only, at 556 and the other at 576. Their dam weighed 1230 pounds when we weaned them. She is a Summer Sister granddaughter.
The second pic is our October 3/4 bull sired by Make It Rain. He won champion crossbred bull.
The third pic is our Grandmaster heifer that my daughter is showing as bred and owned this year. She won her class and was Reserve Champion Simmental heifer today (there were over 80 head of cattle there today).
The next picture is my middle daughters 3/4 blood Upgrade we bought from Jeff Miller. She is a chub! Lives on air!!! She won her class today.
The white bellied heifer is our Fat Butt heifer. She is an April, and is extremely LONG. If we can get her belly to drop she might turn out to be a very competitive heifer! She won her class also (my son beat his older sister for the first time!!! That was funny!)
Ill include some more in another post....
