If anybody is needing a great Jan. steer calf for next year's shows, you need to check this guy out.

We found out today that he is a TH carrier (darn Kool on the mom's bottom side), and therefore probably not going to keep him in tact. His mom was an all-American for us, and he is out of ArSuLu Legacy.

We thought he could be a great steer sire for us, as he had a low birthweight and built like a freak. Long fronted, great shoulder and a ton of hip and butt.

Hey thanks for the nice comments. We were really ticked off this morning to get the results back today. Dad is really good at predicting TH status, by a trick someone showed him at a sale, but he missed on this one.

This calf's front is like a freak. Plus, his hip, top and butt are the best on the place. We really saw dollar signs coming from him as an outcross clubby bull, and then we got the news.

Oh well, I still remember Gary Buchholtz (sp) telling me a story how he got offered $15,000 for Percision and turned it down because he wanted him a bull. We thought we could make a killing off of semen sales. However, I hope that this guy will win a ton of shows next winter. He is the best we have ever raised.

I am sure he will be bought and sold about 10 times.

Yep, that is the trick. A bump on the forehead that feels like a finger tip.

the bump on the forehead is not 100% accurate. It works for many TH carriers but not all of them. I also have a couple cows with the bump on the forehead that are TH free. Neither have Improver in there pedigree, but I tested them anyways,because of the bump on their foreheads. Both cows have come back TH free.

Just so people know, I had dad go out and shoot a few more shots of this guy. I can't post them till Thursday, as I am traveling. However, he is well worth the price, as we have him priced to sell.

Where is he located and what is the $$

He is located just outside of St. Louis, MO, but will help try to get him to his new destination. He is a Jan. calf, so we still have some time before he is off his mom.

His mother and him are heading to the ET facility tomorrow, as his mother is getting flushed. (We want more calves out of this mating.)

He should be back at our place in late May, and would probably ready to go to his new destination by early June.

I have had a lot of interest in him, but no commitments yet.
