Is there anyone out there as angry as I am about Michelle Obama's trip to Spain, how much she is spending on this trip, her entourage is staying in a motel that cost 2500.0 a night, when the whole country is cutting back and having to do with less, we are slapped in the face with the First lady's "vacation" like she is working so hard.  I'm just pissed. I don't understand why they say we have do with less, and yet they spend money on a trip that at best is not warrented, and to throw salt in our open wound, it is not even being spent in America.  it is out of the country where those dollars do no one here in the USA any good at all!!! <cowboy>

Since I am helping pay the bill, and I am staying in the Super 8 for the fair, yeah, I would say that is a bit out of line..... But, I am sure obama will take care of it..... The problem is right there, we only have presidents that spend, not save. When I think about the growing deficit it makes me sick.

I think this quote sums it up.  Don't think he's done much of anything but work at and teach others how to get and spend other peoples money.  Is anyone not upset about the new Justice nominated this week? Or this mosque thing that sounds to me that the NY mayor is supporting (wonder if there's some money under the table on that one)  Our whole system is corrupt.  I keep hearing all this stuff, getting all these emails, watching all this on FOX News and yet things just keep getting worse and worse.  I keep wondering when we're going to wake up from this nightmare and how the heck it went so bad so fast?  But like most of us common sense folks I think we've been snoozing too long.  All I know is we are all going to have to speak up and get involved.  I pray each night its not too late for our America, our children and there children. To me its seems the West and East are ruling all of us.  (California and NY?)

We are talking about a guy who is president of a country and thinks that there is 58 states in it ???

confused here, the hotels were all paid for by each individual with their own money, only taxpayer money used was for government things (like secret service, which she actually travels with little secret service according to newsweek).  if the squawk is about her spending so much of her own money on a vacation, I am sorry when ceos revamped their offices after breaking their companies that was ok because it kept people working.  so not being sarcastic, but what is the big problem here?

newsweek is in the tank for obama as much as rush is for conservatives.  perhaps they could have discovered some culture in america, perhaps the gulf states or drove to the grand canyon, the grand tetons, glacier national park, yellowstone, yosemite, the blue ridge mountains, niagra falls.  no need to use so much carbon going overseas. 

to be continually lectured on sacrificing, and them not doing it, that's the issue.  i make decent money and it's a struggle to go to a baseball game or to a museum or to a play.

perhaps michelle could work in a factory and follow the dollars and see what it's like to hire someone, meet a payroll with one's own money etc.  this includes any president and their family, not just the current one.

for instance, scharzenkennedy just figured out businesses are leaving california.  took him 7 years to figure that out.

Call me a skeptic, but I want to see receipts on what she "paid for" and what "I" paid for.
I also want a head count on the "staff" and secret service that went along.
I also want to know who paid for the plane... I pretty sure she didn't fly coach. I doubt she even flew first class.

Her trip showed a total lack of class, total lack of "realism". And she, nor her husband have any idea what the real people do in this country, except apparently make money to give to those who don't.
