The show- we are located in the very center of SW MO.  That might be a little to much of a shot for us.  How big of a show is it?  How many head are  there on avg.

It's not very big, but it pays better than any show in Texas(Unless you win a major). There's probably 10 simmis in the jr show and 25 in the open, and they pay $75 if you win a class which isn't that hard to do. To be honest the jr show is a joke but I take two calves so I can get an easy 150 and I keep and show the same two the next day at the open show which is a little harder bc one breeder comes to the show and they usually do pretty well but I got reserve last year. If you could bring 10 calves you could probably break even which is unheard of anymore it seems like.

$75 per class in our area would probably increase the amount of people who show by double.    We find premiums for class winners run in the 15-30 $ range.  We would love to go to that show, but that is a SHOT for us!  From the sounds of it, you may have that show wrapped up!  :)  What are the dates?

There are quite a few people that come out for it. It's about the middle of September. They have the jr show friday and saturday then the open show sunday and monday so you don't have to take the cattle home if you want to do both.

I believe 4000, I'm not sure exactly because that information is at home.
