When I called and told them what I was looking for, they gave me his lot number Along with about four other Bulls. They told me he was one of the youngest bulls in the sale so he might not be as popular as the older Bulls but they really liked him. He said had he been older they would have considered taking him to Denver.
The other Bulls they suggested were out of my price range and I didn't bid on him because of his age. The next day they called me and said he didn't get a bid but I should really consider him because he was as good if not better than the other Bulls that had suggested. Time will tell I guess.
I think you were given excellent, honest advice, look at the results you have achieved!
A pedigree breeder does not stay at the top of his game by trying to mislead his clients, if he says you are getting a good deal on the bull, you probably are!
The success of pedigree sales is on selling the next bull to the client, not the current one.
My only problem with the Waukaru programme is that they have no bulls for export with the major genetics companies, ABS, Semex or Select Sires. They are the only ones that export to South Africa. They have some amazing performance sires in their programme.
Better still is that they are all red!
