I would really like some info from yall the breeders on input of payback.  Wether its good news or bad news, any info on past breedings would be helpful.  I have some heifers i am about to a.i. and was going through my choices.  Of the angus bulls, i like duff hobart and occ next step for calve ease and the fact there line breed helps, but there is a chance i may use payback.  The heifers are clubby type but werent showed and they are all out of jimmy the greek.  Would love hundreds of response on info of payback.

Payback calved pretty small -- the one good thing about him as far as my experience went.

He is one of the THREE top players for the PHA gene, he is one of the three that started it all it seems.

He will shorten stature -- reduce frame score.

He WILL straighten the hind legs, some times to the point of no return. Needs used on larger cows with some set to them.

He passes on the HORNS really strong as well --

I had 9 total in two years, only kept one -- and she left as a 3 year old cow.

Good luck -- Terry
