Looks like you got a pretty good one!  We got hit hard here in north central Oklahoma too.14 inches of snow in OKC with 50 mile an our wind gust.  I made to all our pastures but one today, but they got hay and cubes yesterday in the middle of the storm.  We're not used to this in OK.

My brother went to grab his camera because Grant's (My 10 yr Old Son) show heifer Ruby was standing by that drift!  If my brother is close to 6 ft, how tall is that drift?  I told my brother, that picture will be good for a Christmas card next year!

Neat pics there Tony, we sure didn't fair much better down this way -- about 15-20 all day with snow and HIGH winds -- I mean HIGH wind.

For once I have a good excuse for staying in the house -- hehehehe

Bedded the cows and fed the horses -- so all is as good as it is going to get. We do have a fireplace, so - like last year -- we can still cook if needed in front of the fire. Makes you appreciate the every day soft life we live -- wondering of the old days weren't better after all !!

Hope all had a Merry Christmas, it was peacefull here as the family never made it in!

Feel for you without power.  My flickered a couple times but luckily never went out or hasnt as of yet.  Would be a mess if it did.  Waters would all freeze and then tractor wouldnt start either without being plugged in.

Should be a long day tomorrow hopefully the old 706 tractor runs good so i can get out my place, move snow out of the cattle yards and be able to get out to the hay.

20 inches of snow.  I havent seen this much at once since i was a little kid

58 degrees and sunny here in Cali!  Not the best for growing hair but a lot easier to do chores in. ;D
Merry Christmas to all

Looks like that out my front door, drifts up to the car doors and it is still snowing this morning, thankfully we haven't lost power.  I am one that likes a white Christmas, but I'm done with it now!

here in south central South Dakota, it has been snowy and windy.....on Thursday, the power was out for over 10 hours and God bless the linemen whose job it is to go out in whatever kind of weather and restore the power for us; they did an awesome job in spite of ice, wind and snow...we had power on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

in talking to my dad, he was comparing this blizzard to a big one back in 1958...Nov. 28; alot the same, the difference was, that back then, they had very little warning.  Because that one hit relatively early in the winter, he said, most everyone still had their cows out in the corn fields, he and his brother had a herd still out on summer pasture; as the storm came upon them, he said, they managed to take a hayrack filled with hay out to this group of cows, so they had that at least for alittle wind break and something to eat; he and his brother had to walk back home, cause it was impossible to drive the old "50" back into the wind.....they ended up lost one cow to the cold and they felt fortunate with that; the guys that had their cattle still out in the corn fields spent alot of the winter trying to round them up cause the snow drifted over the fences and cows walked with the wind.....

I am so thankful for the days of "heads up" weather warnings we had concerning this storm; we were very prepared for this; we had the cows home from that very same pasture where Dad and his brother lost that one many years ago before the weather could be forecasted as far ahead as it is now.

Beautiful pictures Tony. There is something about the cows all huddled together out of the wind that is surreal.
