Thanks a lot!. We don't AI much and here are the bulls we used this year. We are a part of the Waco syndicate and the rest we have at the farm. The last pictue is GCC White Stone who is the sire of some of our heifers we have for sale this year.clementcattle said:they look awesome! didn't see a bad one in the bunch. Congrats on a great herd. What kind of bulls are your using?... if you don't mind me asking
Thanks, we think a lot of him. We have not had any calves yet because we just got him this year. We will have around 40 calves coming starting April 1st 2012. He has semen available through Cattle Visions and SEK Genetics, or on the farm. There have been some calves born where the previous owner leased him to a guy that he knew. Here are a few calf pictures of the spring born calves he sent me.clementcattle said:Nice line up! that TG/RRA Complete 421U bull looks very intersting! what are your results on him?
The calves pictured by complete are out of a group of cows with no genetic background ( mutts) I saw those shots earlier this summer and was excited about the consistancy. Complete himself has two shots of eagle 148- top and bottom. Complete's dam was a champ at calving at 19 mos of age. she has raised 3 bulls.rarebirdz said:Good cattle just considering purchasing complete semen debating since my cows arent 100% angus and he is 75% shortie about consistancy looking forward to your april photos and updates hes a kool bull
Isn't that the truth...sue said:JTM was not the 1st to call on him ... but the first to write the check.
The cows I just bred him to are black crossbreds that I believe are anywhere from 50% black angus to 100%. I think these type of cows are the ones that Complete will work the best on.rarebirdz said:Good cattle just considering purchasing complete semen debating since my cows arent 100% angus and he is 75% shortie about consistancy looking forward to your april photos and updates hes a kool bull
I like that Sue, "JTM was not the 1st to call on him... but the first to write the check." I seen the picture of him, and said to myself, I better get over there and see this bull because he isn't going to last but a week. Let alone he was exactly what I was looking for. I thought I had to drive 6 hours to Michigan to look at him and was good and ready, luckily for me, he was in Columbus and only 2.5 hours away. Sue is right, this bull is the real deal. After you see him in person and you realize that he is actually better than the million dollar photo that was taken, then it is definitely an easy decision...sue said:The calves pictured by complete are out of a group of cows with no genetic background ( mutts) I saw those shots earlier this summer and was excited about the consistancy. here is a chance to enrich a herd with 3/4 sh and 1/4 angus.... no questioned asked.... if this bull was on a show string diet you would not question the purchase of semen . Complete was born and raised w/o extras. JTM was not the 1st to call on him ... but the first to write the check.
I personally will turn out a 3/4 sh x 1/4 an bull next spring. It's added lbs w/o added costs on mature size of cow is enough for me.
Cut the BS! You're killing me here!Cut the BS said:Isn't that the truth...sue said:JTM was not the 1st to call on him ... but the first to write the check.
raebirdz... i don't think you would like him, his breeder is a person you don't see eye to eye with ever-- and as a result, I'm sure you wouldn't like his cattle.
Very nice JTM. Looking forward to a visit in May.

why? when was this? I know of a place you could stash her away for awhile... where she won't get pampered, and will be forced to live on fescue and bluegrass.trevorgreycattleco said:Im pissed I have to sell her and im half pissed nobody has snatched her up.

Thanks a lot. I have been very happy with his performance thus far. On top of how well he did being out with 30 cows all summer as a two year old with no grain, his calves are coming easy and are very nice. If you want you can call me and stop out to pick up some semen. Thanks again!J2F said:I like the starbuck calves. I have been thinking of using him. Thanks for the pic's.
