I like your CF DZ Fool cow, she looks real nice!
Somewhere I have a pretty cool snap shot of Goldendrop 94- Jean Hogle loved this cow family ( rest in peace jean) she and bob were hobby breeders.JTM said:Sue, yes, the Star Bucks heifer's great grandam on the cow side is Highland Goldendrop 94 and below that is Highland Goldendrop 6th. The heifer is out of WHR Goldendrop 9937 ET (4158376). She is a September 09 calf and she calved unassisted to Star Bucks this fall.Just a really flashy, hairy, and ribby heifer in a moderate framed package.

However Highland Farms, in southwest Illinois is not a place to miss- I love the Pat's and Goldendrop families. Look hard to find a older breeder of shorthorns- my last visit the Goldendrop's found me. Bill Smithers tells a funny story about his visit at Haumont farms years and years ago ( original goldendrop came from). My favorite son of trump was here at this farm as a old bull- MF Checkmate ( lot's of rib) . I could dig for those notes . I stopped twice with about 5 years between them?
Highland Goldendrop- always wondered why more folks seeking "rib and neck" didnt tap into this cow family? I guess it's not too late- josh will sell this one![]()
