Actually, we have had a busy summer with wildlife as well. We have turkeys and deer in our yard almost daily but this year we seem to have a large population of skunks in the vicinity(no jokes please). I've killed one whole litter and we still have several young ones around. My daughter also killed an adult just outside our driveway the other night. Smelly proposition getting that odor out of her car. I've also shot 8 coons this year while I heat detecting in the evening and (must be my eyesight) missed about that many more.. They're usually cleaning up around our feed bunks when I go out for my last check at night. We have so many coons in the area that my neighbor sets cat food out under his yardlight, then goes up to his attic window and has a little target practice. Too bad the "green movement" has pretty much killed off the fur market--might be a good side income in the new "trickle down poverty" scenario that our government has going. Oh well, ammunition has gotten too expensive to shoot much anyway!!

Too bad your so far away. My husband has a coon dog & would gladly help you take out the coon population. <cowboy>

I think we've taken care of most of the coons that have been frequenting our barn and feeding areas lately. I still have a litter of skunks if anyone would like a new pet, though!!
