Not sure if this is what we had last night but would love any advice on it. Cow calving last night, looked like afterbirth coming out and no feet. Get her in, expecting to have foot back, head back, something....but all was in position. Pulled the calf, but it was dead. Was wondering if the afterbirth coming with the calf caused the cord to be ripped off and the calf died? Last time we had one present like that was also a dead calf but the head was back and she had been working at it for part of a day. This one was eating at bunk at 5pm and at 10pm we found her like that. Stumped as to why the calf was dead, the feet were just barely coming out, you could only see the tips of the hooves.
