maine's have two bloodlines that are polled, both of which i think occurred in north america after importation. one sp poster posted a bunch of info on a bull they had. they had to take x-rays and prove parentage to get him registered.
it will be interesting to see if both of these are the same alleles or are different.
i can't remember, but someone had a test for the polled gene that was breed specific, and i think there were more than two tests, maybe 5.
