I have a couple heifers that sound like they are popping theirs  Digits (right about the hoof) These are the heifers that were getting to fat. WHat can I do to get rid of it?? They are about 800 lbs

Popping pasterns can be a phenotypic flaw.  At time though, it is the result of a selenium deffeciency.  I have had the vet prescribe either BoSe or MuSe, i never can remember which without going to look.  It works really well.  Keep the free choice mineral out.

The only way I can remember the difference between Bo-Se and Mu-Se is by association

M for Mamma cow = M for Mu-Se
B for Baby calf = B for Bo-Se

So give them Bo-Se?? Will it leave a lump or anything? because two of the heifers we will be jack potting with here in about march, but the one that is doing it pretty bad wont be shown until about  july
