Reading back on some old pages about cloning. I wonder if calves like SunSeeker, Full Flush, Draft Pick, 734, etc. ever had cloning cells pulled on them? Are any of these bulls cloned? Will any of these ever be cloned? I know Ali and Who have clones out there as far as older boys. Also, who was the first big time sire to be cloned? Heat Wave?

Thanks for your insight,

I believe there were 3, maybe 4 Full Flush clones that made it to breeding age.  They were all born at about the same time, not scattered out like the Heat Waves.

I'd bet a lot that there's a tissue sample preserved on Meyer 734 (Kephart owned both him and Full Flush), but there was (maybe still is) plenty of 734 semen - they just let it go very sparingly so prices stayed up.

Draft Pick would have been long gone before anyone would've thought about cloning.

Sun Seeker semen is still readily available at $25.  Doubt that there's enough demand to make cloning him profitable.
