I was thinking of buying a post pounder to go on my skid loader and wondering if anyone out there has experience with these.  I have narrowed it down to 2 types.  The 1st is a Shaver HD10 with skid steer mount.  2.  Koyker Manufacturing makes a smaller skid loader attach that will also pull out posts. http://www.koykermfg.com/index.php/products/post-puller-pounder/post-puller-pounder1/

I am looking to do a fair amount of fencing and labor is thin.  Any comments would be appreciated

I'll second the Wheatheart notion as well.

I've used several different pounders over the years, including Shaver, Flexicoil, Wheatheart and Ezzeon.

I also sell equipment for a living and the Wheatheart is by far the most popular, it's the pounder that all the rest are compared to.

After trying out one The Koyker/Souix Steel unit has two major problems. One it is extremely difficult to drive the post straight. Second is the wear and tear on the skid steer's linkage from the shock of all that pounding while suspending the unit.

I have been using the Worksaver HPD-20 (http://www.worksaver.com/product/hpd-man.html). I had a Shaver and upgraded to the Worksaver. The HPD-20 was the first to have the slide block technology instead of roller bearings (gives you substantially longer slide channel life). Also has a spring stabilizing system for longer spring life. And after 12 years and thousands of post I am thinking of buying a new HPD-20 with the new rod seal quick change system.
