;D  I know that Knabe has most likely been sitting on his "low flow toilet" during the inauguration...but I just wanted to know what everyone else thought about it.  I did not vote for him, but now that he is our President, I am praying that things do not get any worse than they are now.  There sure were alot of people out there, that was an amazing sight to see.  JMO  Lisa

My Calculus teacher let us watch the inauguration and the speech.  I thought he did a good job, even if I don't agree with him on some things.  There were a ton of people there, I'm just slightly worried that expectations have been raised so high that people will be disappointed if everything doesn't get fixed.  I'm with Lisa, I really hope that it doesn't get worse before it gets better.

I didn't watch it; Because I'M waiting on Knabe inaugural speech. Just a gut feeling but I believe it will be "PRICELESS"

Lots of people gathered at the coliseums to watch the early Christian's get fed to loins & large crowds gathered for Hitler too.  Large crowds are amazing until they turn on you.  Just sayin...

Well how many rolls of toilet paper do you think Knabe has used writing his speech. I got 2:1 odds he used 7 rolls.

i have truncated my speech severely.

here goes.

i dream of a country that doesn't use hyphens to classify who is more special.  i dream of a country that can judge and be comfortable judging that life is better than death.  i pray that blacks embrace what is right.  i pray that when the muslim world opens their fist that it reaches for a handshake rather than more handouts.  i pray for tolerance and not submission in the middle east.  i pray for the exportation of american ideals to europe rather than dhimmitude and cultural suicide.  i pray for the reemergence of capitalism rather than the financing of todays skin off the backs of our children's children.  i dream of the elimination of MLK day and that it be changed to civil rights day so that whites who have struggled for civil rights can enjoy that day as opposed to dead slave owner's day (presidents day).  i dream of a country that understands the difference between a republic and a democracy.  i dream of a country that will eliminate the two party system.  i dream of a country that has a part time state legislature.  I dream of a country where the people write the constitution, not judges.  i dream of a country that clarifies the 14th amendment and remember who it was that did it (hint, not progressives). i dream of a country that has one language to conduct all business and that enclaves be relegated to the trashheap of racism.  i dream of a country that provides opportunity independent of government.  i dream of a country that has a government that is not a religion of global warming.  i dream of a country where government can both grow and shrink rather than just get fatter and create more dependency in the name of change.  I believe in a country of equal opportunity, not equal outcome, and marginalizing those who think otherwise to the point where they actually have to work for a living.

finally, i dream of a country that views public service as a temporary job without permanent benefits for elective office and that those who choose to answer God's call to help their fellow man, allow him to help himself when appropriate.

God bless America.
