We priced this at Cyagra several years ago and if I remember correctly it was only around 20,000.00 for the whole thing.

If you want an intersting read this is cool. In Columbus, OH, Ohio State is doing tihs currently and have been for quiet sometime. They have a "lock down unit" that no one gets into. Animal rights activist have caused problems but they forge ahead- (they are called Organ Farm).

We have a cell line stored at Cyagra right now and it was around a thousand dollars to get it started. We thought this was cheaper then insurance for the animal. The only problem is that now that the animal is dead it costs around $20,000 to actually clone the animal. We are hoping that in the next few years the technology will get to the point where cloning will get more reasonably priced so we can produce a new animal until that time the cell line sets waiting.
