We always decide on a date that we don't want to have calves after and take the bulls out when that day arrives on the calander. A gestation table comes in real handy to figure the dates out. Most years we pull the bulls to have calves no later than April 30 for spring calves, and October 31 for fall calves. That would mean the bulls come out of the spring cows on July 22 and the fall cows on Jan. 22. We also will roll cows to the fall group if they check open for spring calves, and the same for the fall group as long as they haven't missed a breeding season before.
