Purina is good.  also lindner feed and lissy and eckel feed are good feeds.

We like the Purina cattle feed.  We have only ever had one heifer that wouldn't eat it and she was just a real fussy eater.  The feed seems pretty consistent from bag to bag.  I am not a huge fan of the Purina pig feed (not that you asked).

My cattle always did good on purina, but I had a hard time with the bags getting molded during the summer time so I finally just switched to nutrina. I live in Florida and it seemed like just about every other bag of purina I bought had mold in it during the hot weather months.

I'm currently feeding showmaster but as i posted on another post I'm having trouble getting them fat with showmaster. Ive been thinking of switching to Purina as well. Not really sure what to do at this point.

We fed HSC last year and really liked the way they ate it. Consistant mix

JCFAMILY: Try adding some Stabilized Rice Bran to their feed, 1 to 1.5 pounds a feeding. You do not need to change your feed or feeding just add the SRB, it helps lay down a smooth layer of cover.

I have fed all our show heifers Fitters Edge for the last two years. Along with Purina Power Fuel. Best most consistent feed for my show string I have ever fed.Our Red Angus heifers have been very successful on it.

I actually work for Purina and we did have problems a few years back with mold in the summer time but we've since fixed that and in Texas we haven't had that problem as long as the dealer is getting it fresh from the mill and not trying to stock too much at the store.  As for the cost, what I've told the feeders that I work with is I understand the concern but and extra 250 to 400 dollars, on something you've already invested so much time and money into, is not that much.
