How long can you wait to AI for a cow to except?

We have done a few at 24 hours after standing and had good luck. Have never been brave enough to try any later than that.

Are you looking for MAXIMUM conception, or just the POSSIBILITY of conception?
I usually go 6-8 hours after they stand, or 2-4 hours after they are quiet after being in heat. That is usually what give me the best conception.

The "official" answer, based on reproductive science, is 12 hours after first standing.  Of course, cows, like people, can vary.

what has worked the best for me is wait four to six hours after they are done messing around.  Which is about 18 to 20 hours after they first stand.

savaged is correct... try to breed them around the 12 hour time. but like others have stated it  can vary.
