Questions about cooking corn

I went to the website and read what she said but can't quite grasp it.  What timer is she talking about and do you put the bucket heater in with the corn and water??  Won't that burn??  Might sound dumb but just wanted to make sure I had it right??

Is it possible to feed cooked corn to add finish, but also limit weight gain?  We have a steer for a late Feb. show that will be pushing 1400 by show time. 

I would answer no to that, we used it for pushing one, it actually increases the gain.
