Has anyone had any experience or know about leasing bulls? I am wanting a fall lease a good bull to produce club calves forthe Texas market. I would prefer a black or a red bull or something that might click with the shorthorn cows as I have along with the black cattle. The questions I have is the cost? Do you need to insure the bull? How willing are these guys to lease out some of these bulls?

Lautner leases a bunch of bulls down to Texas. You won't get the top-tier bulls like Heat Wave down here but there are plenty of bulls with names you'll recognize that he leases out.
Last I heard the rates were in the $1,500/month range.
