Anyone know who owns this Charolais bull now? Is there semen for sale on him? I know Camp Cooley used to own him, don't know if they still do.

I am actually looking for some outcross genetics for my dads Charolais herd. He has used Sonderup genetics for years and has not brought an outside female into the herd for 25+ years. Need to boost milk and structure, we already have what I called thick and stout, cows are about 1300-1600 avg size.  I just saw the Charlie bull and he looks very similar to our Oz braunvieh bull but in white!!!  This is the first time ever Dad has considered using AI so I am pretty thrilled about that.

Braunvieh,

If you want Rambur influence (BudsmyDad) with plenty of milk look at EC New Trend.  A maternal bull with great EPDs and he is easier calving than RC Charlie.
On the Braunvieh side have you ever used or seen Swiss Tradition Ricco Two 7C?  This fullblood bull is as good as the very best full fleckvieh bulls-very complete with lots of performance.  This bull made me a believer in Braunvieh.  he works on Charolais cows very well.  Check out the story of his bull at: http://www.original-braunvieh.com/Ricco.htm.
Look forward to your comments on both bulls.
