We were at my nephew and nieces'  place this weekend and checked out their calves and home raised  show heifer.  These are a few out of their Charolais clean up bull RCC Cold Front.

TMJ, you commented in another post that you wish more people back in the Midwest would realize the value of the Charolais influence genetics.  I couldn't agree more and now my brother in law is convinced.  You will get to see the big heifer in Milwaukee next week for the junior show. The second heifer is just a bred out on grass.  Third is a steer calf by Cold Font.  They just put the creep feeder out this weekend so this is not to be compared to those show barn calf pictures.  Just the raw product.  All are out of clubby bred cows.  Many  are WMW x Angus or daughters of those.

Let us know what you think.

Really good looking cattle.  They are all thick with a lot of extension and correctness.  I like em! <party>

She is out of a wmw x Angus.  She was reserve market hfr at our county fair last week.  She is a late May and we were not quite heavy enough yet. (1105#)  But we also did not want to get her as fat as she should have been as she is bred.
