I was wondering what everyone is using for keeping records on their cattle. such as calving, shots, sickness. Are there any good computer programs?

I really appreciate everyone's input.

We use CattleMax. I'm not very computer smart and it will probably do more than I can make it do but I'm satisfied. The thing I really like about it is it will keep your semen inventory up to date for you. It isn't very expensive and you can download updates. Free 30 day trial.

We use the MDI software system for our sheep operation-- and love it tremendously.  If we had more cows, without a doubt, I would add that to my collection on the computor.  I've tried the cattlemax trials, and found no comparision.

I've also got another computor system, pedigree wizard that we are required to use with the sheep for EPD generation-- and it's not only out dated, but pittiful in quality.

Without a doubt, for someone with plenty animals, I suggest MDI-

I use to use Excel spreadsheets, but now I am using Google Docs.  It allows me to make updates mobilely through my smartphone.
