I sure wouldn't.  He's a THICK bugger, and has a little shoulder to him. I've seen some nice ones out of mature cows though.

Definitely not a heifer bull.  In our experience, at least as bad as Heatwave on bw/calving issues - nice calves once you get 'em here, though.

Anywhere from 80-130, typical clubby bull.  EPDs on composite cattle are a joke.

What about CCC Gold Rush? He's a calving ease Shorthorn Bull, and has sired some excellent cattle.

Thanks for the advice I will look into JPJ and probably stay away from red hot for at least a couple years.

not sure I'd use any son of Heat Seeker for a first calf heifer. If there is such a calving ease bull out of him let me be corrected.

We've got a calf coming out of him. Due the 25th of this month. This cow is out of Black Dice, and it will be her 6th calf.
I'll let you know when it arrives.
I don't think I would use him on heifers. Some of his calves last spring had some size to them.

Calf was just born a few minutes ago, unassisted. It's a heifer calf. Black, with white underbelly. 85 lbs. She is a very aggressive little fart!
