Red Update

Hello everyone, sorry I was offline for a couple days.  I forgot my computer when I went "heifer shopping". 

Mark has been keeping me updated on Cathy's insistance.  She did well.  Actually SUPER!  She has a little piggy valve in her and its working great.  SD...warned Mark about her possible snorting and rooting for ya! lol  He loved it.  Said he'll wait a couple days and mention that so she doesn't hurt when she laughs lol.

They did it a new way, minnimally evasive.  Which means then didn't have to crack her ribs and it'll be a shorter recovery time.  I'm so happy for that.  This morning she's still in recovery, but they have her sitting up eatting jello.  VERY good sign.

Mark said Cathy will probably call me tomorrow.  She's going a little stir crazy.  I've made sure to read her all the well wishes before the surgery, and will continue to let her know that everyone misses her and is pulling for her.

Mark said thank you for all the prayers and well wishes!

Soo Glad to hear she is on the mend.  Tell I am thinking  of her and hope to see her in Louisville in November.

lol were trying not to even bring up Louisville yet.  Her husband and I are afraid she'll push herself to hard to early if she has a chance to go.  He said they are going to take it day by day and just get her feeling better.

Cathy just called!  She sounds so good.  Her neice took pictures of woody for her.  

She even ate PBJ sandwich for lunch

She had 3 extra hours of surgery last night night for excess bleeding.  She's ok now.  Sounded really good.

She said thank you to everyone.

Just a quick note.
Just spoke to Cathy. She is having a tough time of it. Is very fatigued and they are giving her blood. I told her I wouldn't bother her and I would catch up with her when she was up too par. I know everyone is thinking of her.

EASY people!!  We are all concerned about Red but there is no need to go on the attack.  By the above statement Oh B said they weren't going to call her again.  If I don't want to talk to anyone I unplug the phone or have my husband answer.

I'm just relaying the message I received from Cathy.  She has her phone so her parents can get hold of her.  She'd just like to rest.  She appreciates all the warm wishes and prayers.

I was just a little shocked someone would call her at the hospital right after open heart  surgery

OHbreeder, I apologize(long story I'm sorry).  I just talked to Cathy and she's doing much better.  Little weak, but doing well.  She's hoping in a day or so to be home.  Once again, she thanks everyone for all the well wishes and prayers.

If you want to send her cards her website can be googled at Redmaple Farms.  Her address is there.  I'm sure she'd enjoy reading some cards ect. since she's going to be laid up for a while.

Oh yeah...Woody is missing her terribly!  lol  He's in the chopper today with Mark.  Her young neice has been keeping him pretty busy playing and he even slept with her 2 nights.  Is it possible Woody could get more spoiled? lol
