Can an animal sired by monopoly be registered chi? I have a calf out of my monopoly dr who daughter. His sire is exar Tryon and a heifer we sold is out of a purebred Hereford sired by monopoly. If you can help me out I'd appreciate it thank you.

No, the dam side must have atleast 6.25 to register the calves out of Monopoly. As Monopoly is only 6.85 himself. Unless the calves were born before January 1 2012.

No, the registration rules have not changed. What has changed is to be eligible to show at National shows ie. Louisville,Denver, or Ft. Worth the animal in question must be 6.25% Chianina. So yes your calf can be registered and shown as a chi anywhere except those 3 shows. Oh I forgot Jr. Nationals. The rule is explaid more in depth on the ACA website or call the girls in the office.
