Wonder what the bred cows will bring$$$$ in the sale?

As a 40 something, looking through one man's /families work in that catalog was really impressive but at the same time so sad. Great group of cattle in that mix.

I liked most of the bulls
And I like a lot of the cows, it should be a good sale
He built a very impressive herd

They'll be some good opportunities to add value to a person's herd. If I were looking I would try to find a mid aged cow that is bred to have a good calf regardless of the sex of the calf. Love looking through his genetic choices!!

As high as reimanns cows sold at the first class sale, I would say it might be pretty crazy.
Alot of good Cows tho. I would say there wont be any bargins    should bring what they are worth

Anyone know why there are no mature bulls or semen in the sale?

I talked to Barry a while ago about frozen genetics and he told me they would probably sell them in an online deal later this spring. He said that with the amount of live lots there were that he didn't think they would have enough time to sell all the frozen stuff too in the 2 days

The family is keeping the commercial herd so most likely the bulls will be used on those cows.  They are only seling the cows that Nick had geared towards club calf production.

I understood the family is keeping the commercial cow herd.  Which I would imagine already has a "bull battery" of comercial bulls.  For all the "club calf cows" I would have thought he would have a set of "club calf bulls" he was using.

I also was wondering about the 2013 born bred heifers and 2014 born coming yearling heifers.

If a person has any questions about the cows call Jake Lee.  He knows those cows better than anybody, probably including Nick.  Jake made all the breeding decisions for the last several years, except for maybe what they flushed the donors to at yackley's.

I'm curious also, but I think if they're keeping some great. Not my place to ask. Terrible terrible situation, but you have a chance to get in on some great genetics. After the sale when the family settles from the hustle and bustle call and see if any opens or young pairs are available if that's what your after. My two cents

I missed the sale today. Whats everyone think the average has been at so far?
