One of the best heifers I ever raised broke one of her front legs and it healed up a little crooked, sehe seems to be doing fine.My question is has anyone ever had this to happen and keep her in the herd for a brood cow?

Happened to us two years ago. She healed perfectly and just had her first calf. She took all the riding fine and was bred by our mature herd bull. No issues at all.

other than the scar from having it repaired you could never tell.  Ohio State did the surgery and we opted to have pins put in to stabilize it.  She was lame on it for about 6 to 8 weeks then was pretty much back to normal.  She was only 3 or 4 months old when it happened, a cow in heat tried to ride her and broke her down.
