We use a "contaminated" curry comb that we only use for animals with ringworm (that gets disinfected after each animal) and brush their ringworm spots to get some of the flakes off, then we pour Iodine or Sullivan's fungus fighter on it. They both work well. If you dip your calve's navels when they are born with Iodine, then you most likely already have it handy.

we scrape it down with a curry comb or a "ripper" and once it is bleeding completely, we spray with paint or fluid film or bacon grease

We've had real good luck with athletes foot spray. We also make it a point to hose the barn down with bleach water every year. Since we've started doing that we haven't had ringworm!

There is a horse product called Vetericyn that we use and get quick results.  It's available at Tractor Supply or Livestock Concepts.

Scrape it down first. Covering it up is the main thing so the fungus gets no air. Any type of oil, Koppersol, or toothpaste works great too!

We scrape the scab off of the infected area then apply Shapley's MTG to these spots. After the first couple days the ringworm scab is gone, skin is nice and soft and after a week new hair is seen growing back into place. If needed after the first week re-apply the MTG.
