I dunno, I asked this question once and there were many other suggestions to use rather than him. Northern Improvement is very popular. But, just coming from an Angus guy, I prefer the OCC bulls. Good little calves that gets mama up quickly and the calves get up and do their thing. Maybe not showy, but a decent live calf is better than an incredible dead one. Trust me on that one.

This is my first post,  but became a member because I believe in this bull on heifers. Had four last year and breed all my % heifers to him to calve in 2010.

Do a search and you can find a bunch of old posts.  I got along fine with him on heifers, but did have to pull some.  He's a little too good to be using on heifers, some can be too thick.  If you aren't well set up for watching heifers closely during calving, go elsewhere.  I love him for second calvers.

I laid some Rocky Balboa semen in with plans of using him on some OCC Freestyle heifers, but as time goes on and I think more about it, have decided to use the semen on second calvers also. The Freestyle's are too good to take the chance of having one too big to get out without making a sidedoor.
