I was wondering if any of you have had to deal with roundworms from swine in your cattle herd? We have a small herd of cows and the place we have them use to raise pigs. The big cows have no sign they are fine! The spring calves are having running nasty stools. I took a sample in to the vet and they told me we have roundworm from swine and this could be there problem. They are growing eating acting fine but I just don't want something to happend I worm the cows and calf spring and fall every year and this is the first time we have ever had a problem! Im going to use Ivomec tommorow and see if this will clear them up. Our biggest problem is we plan to move them home in the next month or two and the vet said that We must have clean stools before we move them because roundworms live in the ground for years and Im not wanting any future problems!! Any advice would be greatly appercitated.. Thanks
