Had a situation last year were I sold a calf. When I sold the calf I asked about where I send the registration papers. The buyer said not to worry about it. 6 months later after the buyer resold the calf for a large profit I get a text from them stating the person who purchased the animal wants papers and because I raised the calf it falls on me. I reminded them that they did not want it in the fall when the calf was sold. in the end, I got the calf registered (my membership had expired with the assc. after the first of the year, so i had extra cost in renewing my membership fee as well as additional cost for registering the calf after it was a year old). I avoided any conflict with the first person who bought the animal and then resold though my blood was boiling because I feel they did this so they could avoid paying any transfer fees, etc. was I over reacting in losing my temper over the situation? Any opinions on how it should have been handled to begin with?
