We are in the process of renovating our barn.  I want to buy and install a set of scales to keep track of our calves' weight.  I was just wondering what kind of scales the sp crew uses.  We really can't afford anything over $1000, they don't really have to be fancy or anything, just something that will get the job done.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

i have these.  paid about $650 about 2 years ago.  seem to work ok.  you will need to make a platform.
