I think my calves have scurvy. They have flacky skin coming off of their back legs and its a bit tender when I comb them. How do I get rid of it? Also how do people use the linement hair stimulator?

Thanks,
Brady

Have you gone to a show lately. If so did you use any kind of release on their legs.  You can get the same thing when you don't get the adhesive out of the legs.      Sometimes my students didn't  get the adhesive out well enough and it burned the skin which results in the same symptoms you have discribed.  May be scurvy.  Never seen scurvy.

No, I haven't been to any shows. Their bedding was damp dirty woodchips for a while. I wonder if that could have something to do with it. But what do I do to get rid of it?

Either a vinegar dip or some diluted in a spray bottle and then brush in and blow out the flakes. Then some conditioner for the skin or a light oil. Not too much oil this time of year as it make them hot. Maybe Kleen Sheen if you have it.
We have very bad and hard water here and use a lot of vinegar. Every time they are washed or rinsed we dip them. Frostie
