does urine concentration affect semen quality and or shelf life in any way during the collection and storage process? what have been the improvements over time to minimze this?
the issue came up as a sample i sent for dna testing from a prep came up yellow and this, if a urine contamination in sufficient quantity interferes with PCR, although the first lab was able to obtain PCR and subsequent digest results. i'm not sure if a protein extraction will remove the urine.
