Today while brushing my steer out..I noticed all over he  was shedding. I doubt me missing 2 days of brushing him out caused this. The only thing that has changed is I am in the middle of switching him over from the Honor Fitter's Edge to the Finishing Touch.I know corn has a tendency of making animals shed out but I never heard of it happening in the winter. The only thing I put on his coat is Pink Oil.o I am sooo confused...nothing else has changed and I dont want him going bald after all this hard work!

The attached pic is the amount of hair I got after just pinching his coat

I know with horses we dont put them under light untill after the shortest day for the year that is because at that point they begin growing a new hair coat if heavily stimulated by light. This time of year the light is starting to last longer triggering their bodys to start replacing hair in preperation for growing shorter summer hair. It could be that he is starting to grow in his new coat, if this is the case keep up the hard work so it stays healthy.
