Try uship.com. I have contracted a shipper for a motorcycle through this website. There are shippers for anything that you want shipped (including livestock--I think Lathrop is on there) Its a bid type website. You put in the details of what you want shipped and companies or individuals will send you bids. You can request bids from specific shippers too. They all have an info page with feedback from previous customers, etc. There are everything from huge companies that only ship certain things down to individuals with a truck and trailer on the site. Don't know if this helps, but its a tool to use. I don't know anyone specifically in your area.
