From profile he looks pretty clean made and balanced. Might throw some leg could be deeper. What is his breeding?

In this situation, i don't think pedigree matters any...  It's a simple question of thought... but it would be nice to know.

The bull, I see much like OH Breeder, plus plenty of hip shape (from the side profile he appears to have if looked at from behind).

One things certain, I don't see a fuzzball here, I see a bull with some hair, and a legit looking stance.

He reminds me of a bull we once used, that simpily made awesome calves, that didn't have enoug depth of body, or rib shape up high.

He is out of Phildon Get Serious. The cow is out of a bull named TW Image (Stinger son) and her dam has Double Stuff 2 generations back on top, and Ka'Ba Cowboy 2 generations back on the bottom side.

I really like his style and front end extension.  I would also like to see him a little deeper flanked, but hard to say not knowing his age, feeding program etc.  I also watched his video, and there is something I don't like about him on the move.  He has a good leg set, but I seems to drop off over his rump when on the move.

I noticed that too on his video, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I believe he was slick sheared at the beginning of the summer and hasn't put all of it back on yet, which I like because what you see is what you get. There isn't anything hidden with him. I haven't seen this bull in person since he was about 5-6 months old. He is now 13 months old.

Whata clubby shorthorn pedigree..... even more interesting, would be if he's PHA free-- being the originator is right there, as well as a double carrier...

TH free...i'm not sure about his PHA status.
do you know the status of the dam?  cuz who ever made her sure took a risky step.. if nothing's ever been tested..

unless she's old, and was made before testing was around and cool...

Like I said, as his dam is basically a Stinger x DS-- that's almost a sure fire way to be PHA +.

Maybe the peices fell together on this one, and you sliped through..

btw, nobody's asked yet.. what's your plans for this bull?

The bulls grand dam is clean. We weren't sure of the status of her daughter and that is why we bred her to a clean bull (get serious) I don't own the bull anymore, we sold him. We are breeding in a few weeks and was curious of everyone's opinion, thinking about breeding her back the same way.

Well, two questions:  What did she have this year?  And more importantly, did you make money on this one?

You know what, I think hes a nice bull. Lets focus on the positive and not the negative. He seems to have good substance of muscle and bone, he has a nice neck and a pretty head. he may not be hairy right now, but its also not winter and he's probably not in a cold box, correct? If he has any faults at all it would be that he is a little shallow bodied

Definitely would breed her back that way. That is a high quality animal. I'm sure your customer will be very happy with the calves they get. He reminds me a little of the bull we have calves out of this year and we sold to Wyoming through steer planet. Very nice.
