I am always impressed with many of the bulls I see in the Aussie Shorthorn breed magazine. There are some pretty impressive bulls pictured here as well. There are four bulls here that I think are serious herd sires, and they are probably more if I could see them in person. Some day, hopefully before long, I want to get to Oz. I have so many friends over there and I always appreciate their thoughts on cattle of any breed. Finding the 2-4 weeks that would be required to do a decent job of seeing the great herds down there is always the problem. Toby Jordan recently told me that the 10 days that his wife and him spent seeing Aussie Shorthorns was far too short a time period and was a bit draining.
Not to change this thread, but I see that Gillian and David Leeds are dispersing their Broome herd in early November. That is a herd that has been around for a long time and I expect there will be a great set of cattle in that sale.
