This is a picture of one of the cows at Double Star Stock Farm (the Sharps) at Lacombe, Alberta.

When we visited Double Star the cows were out swath grazing through the snow and they had dozens of deep bodied  good looking cows like this one. Definitely a herd with lots of quality.
That photo would make a great Shorthorn Report cover!

One of my friends from 4H used a Double Star heifer in 4H she won many banners that year...My bottom still hurts from that rear kicking!

Nice cow and a great view behind her. Your country and Ohio may as well be other planets, I look out my front door and all I see across the road is houses full of city folks who have decided to move to the country. Lucky me.
Thanks for telling me of another breeder I never heard of.

If I could have had this photo a couple weeks ago, it would have been on the cover of the Canadian Shorthorn Report. Graham, if you are lurking on here, send me a high resolution copy of this pic and I will try to use it on an issue next fall. Great pic!
