What is the big deal who ever it is? Dispersals happen all the time in every breed. Even if it someone at the top of the breed, some people want to leave when they are at the top and not when they are on the way down. I think it makes perfect sense. Some people's goals change and what they want to with their lives. It may be a decision that is not even based on the cattle they raise. Life will go on!
I remember when Hoyt Central dispersed, I heard so many people saying that this was going to be a huge hit on the breed. Maybe I missed it, but life went on pretty good, and there is always someone else to take their place.
In this case, I do not know who this thread is referring to, but I have some ideas, and if it is one or two I am suspecting, I don't find it a shock. They have done everything else with careful planning and I would expect their dispersal would be the same. Sometimes dispersals have to be held to allow some family members to retire or to settle an estate. They are as common as fresh air and sunshine!~
