Who is he? He looks and acts like a bull!!!! Awesome masculinity. THAT's why the commercial industry down there accepts Shorthorns.

How Y'uns doing?

Oh!!  ;) now I'm with ya! Yeah not too bad, it's getting a bit wet which is nice... we need the drink, the National Shorthorn show and sale is coming up so hopefully it will give people an incentive to buy!

I was wanting to go down to the National show some day, but now that i know you have nasty nasty spiders that bite.... I'm not sure. Actually, your country is near the top on my Bucket list and I hope to get there before too long

It's not just the spiders Grant, then there's the snakes, sharks, sting rays.... oh and those roos, koalas and wombats can all be vicious too!! I'm saving my pennies so I can come back to your country!
The National is a big one this year- we have 150 bulls catalogued, and 18 elite females. Hopefully most of them find new homes.

Carla, plan to come back here when you don't have to wear 45 pounds of clothing. The day you were here in January was about the coldest worst day we had all winter. Actually, I had almost forgotten how beautiful this country can be when it is wet, but it is looking good right now at least, but that can change quickly as well.
I am not afraid of the sharks and stingrays, unless you have some that come on land.

I received my Aussie Shorthorn Beef magazine today and there appears to be some very good cattle selling in the National sale this year. Jonathon Tink just emailed me some pictures of some Saskvalley Pioneer 126P offspring, and he is selling a 9 months old Pioneer heifer in the National sale that has some promise.

So, next time you come I would recommend you pick any month except December and January. We can have bad weather in any month, but those two can get to be the worst if it turns really cold.

The sharks and stingrays don't come on land, but the crocs do. Many a German tourist has met a gruesome fate thanks to them!

The latest SB mag is one of the best in some time... and about time! There are certainly some very good cattle on offer at Dubbo this year- many of the pictures in the magazine don't do the animals justice, IMO.

That day at your place, and at Muri's, was just a tad cold! I'd like to come over summer, but unfortunately that clashes with our sale season here which makes it difficult for me to get time off work. I think I may just need to find a job over your way for 6 months or so!
