I have a Shorthorn heifer born May 14/10 pictured below that I would like some opinions on from some of the SP members.
Pictures taken in pasture June 17thby me so they are what you see is what you get.
I will post pedigree after I get some responses.

She looks like she could be a pretty nice heifer. Her navel is pretty big, and she looks a bit bold in her shoulder, but she's so young its really hard to say one way or another. It would be a bit easier in person, but babies change day to day.

She looks pretty thick. She's bigger in her navel, but I've found that goes away with time. We had that with one of our steers this year born in early arpil and now its shrunk up to normal size, so I wouldnt worry about that. Like OFS said babies change from day to day, she could get a lot better or worse, but I'm guessing once she starts creep along with getting milk she'll really take off, thats when most of them do.

The pictures don't do the calf any favors (not bad tho). She looks a little empty to me but that was typical of my Rodeo Drive females as babies especially on some Wakaru females I had. Mine never stopped growing ^. Don't know maybe the Upper Hand in there will moderate some. I would breed that heifer to a son of your Clementine cow! You got any pics of that cow? What have you bred her too? Mine is bred to a Sneed bull right now.

Clean front end.
A bit "fine boned" for a shortie
Nice dark red color
A bit thick in her shoulder
Maybe a tad weak in her lower hip.

But, she is a baby. She will change a lot in the next month or two.
Keep us posted!

She looks alot like Rodeo Drive females I have seen in past. She has some side to her. Nice depth of rib. Bone doesn't bother me much for a female I think she is adequate. Length of body and nice top line, neck extension. Like to smooth the shoulder out a bit and maybe widen her a tick. Like to see the damn and that might help.
Nice female.

She looks like she will turn out to be a very good female. It is hard to look at a real young calf this time of the year when there are a bunch of 4 to 5 month old babys running around.
We have a lheifer that was born a day after your bull sale that we just love but hard to compare her to our others that are 1 1/2 to 3 months older.
If you like her at this age you will love her when she gets older.

I want to hang out with Hortons place when they start picking names for bulls! I wonder what you would call a son of RICKY BOBBY Drive?
