I loved Burke's Fun in the sun ad (pg 249)

Also Sunglofeed's (pg 251) Does that look like anyone we know?

Of course Gigolo Joe's ad has several of us being quoted. That gave the hubby quite a chuckle! ( pg 257)

To be honest most of the ads blew me away! Rachel does such an awesome job. Her work just jumps out at you. I have to say there are a lot of creative people out there!  (welcome)

there's a pic of highlander on page 47 in the online version.  birth weight 50 pounds, YW 1015

hmm, the clubcalves ad is a little too suggestive.  ugh, i must be getting old.

the gigolo joe ad is pretty funny.  good job.  i wonder what the buzz is about everyone's "code name" if it's positive or negative or if they even know what steerplanet is.

You know I know a lot of you found him interesting, but to me he has too much hair, it makes him look like there isn't anything to the bull underneath of the hair, wasn't impressed with that one.

2 Year old picture of Star Power looks good, pg 296

Naughty Pine calves look real nice PG 266.  There at the Rockin J ranch here in Nebraska, might have to make a trip up to see them this summer.

Highlander; Someone try him and tell me how he worked.  I think I will flush a donor to Eye Candy to get females than turn around and breed the females to Highlander.  Now that would be a cross.  (clapping)  Heatwave genetics with a 1/4 Highlander and an 1/8 Galloway. LOL

Anyone ever opened up the SC to see 3 full brothers being promoted.  Mommas Boy, King Meyer, and Exorcist?  Which one to use?  2 of them sold in a bull auction here locally and a 4th that's older and good as well.

The calves at Rockin J looked really good, wasn't really a big Naughty Pine fan, but those were some really nice calves

WOW! Thank y'all so much for saying that! The page 22 ad is the one about Phil's calving ease bulls. That is so cool that y'all liked that one!! I think that in the past two months, several of the ads in the Show Circuit have been excellent...not just the ones we did...many of the ads as a whole.

I know from reading that sometimes people on this board really like some of the ads we do, sometimes not so much. It's always interesting to hear people's points of view, good or bad. Everyone has different tastes. I can tell you as designers, every time an ad comes out it's like we hold our breaths to see if people like them or don't. It's scary but fun. And, sometimes people don't like our work, and we try to take the constructive criticism and do better next time. It was funny b/c I know there was something on here a while back saying not to use RHD because we only update web sites on Sundays (not true). Or that we had done a catalog for someone that wasn't even printed in time for a sale or something crazy like that. I sometimes wonder where people get this crazy info, but anyway. :)

I just want to say from everyone at Ranch House, thank you for the compliments. It really means a lot to us, because we really try our best to do good work.

Agreed.  Did you see how the hair was pulled toward the back of the hip?  Good fit job but I wonder if there is any muscle under there.  He won't work in Southwest Missouri.  The fescue would kill him.

The toxic endophyte that is specific to KY 31 Fescue(most popular kind) has disease and drought tolerance like nothing else. However, it does cause problems with fertility and causes calves to slick off quickly and sometimes gives them a rusty tint to their hair.
Its predominant because it grows better than anything else and is also alot tougher than say orchard grass or bermuda. Even if its taken to the ground during a drought it usually pops right back up without alot of help.

Hey Everyone,

I used to show 20 years ago and it is amazing how good the magazines are now. The Show Circuit is by far the best. The Showbox in Texas is so much better than when it started it's not even funny.Way to go!

Would you like to see him in a wash rack. THat is what I would like. His legs have a tremednous amount of hair.

This time last year it was All Aboard, Monopoly, and Headliner, although that might have only been in the Nat. Exhibitor. Also, Heatwave's dam has Gold Glove, Red Bull, and HW. It takes quite a cow to do it, I'd say.

what's the deal with fescue.  why is it the predominant grass?
Truth be known, Knabe, it's THE predominate Pasture Species in the N-tire USofA. It's idiot-proof.
