hi all i am new to all this!
so i live in Australia and i have a show that wont eat he grain because i have added molasses to it! someone told me that molasses increases the quality of the carcase. and the competition i am putting him in is a hoof and hook.(so he gets killed and his carcase gets judged.) please i need some help!he is losing weight over this!

  Are you using liquid molasses? I add approximately a pint of liquid molasses to 50 lbs of AAOK's feed ration.

If he was eating the same feed dry, I would add the dry feed to the feed with molasses, start at 50% dry to 50% wet and see if he eats that if not add more dry.
Or just start over if you only added molasses to a small batch of feed, start with the dry again and add a minimal amount of molasses over time. If he won't eat it with the molasses then don't feed any molasses.
The molasses is basically like adding sugar to the feed, calories to add fat, you may need to look for another alternative.

We mix our own and had trouble getting the molasses to mix, so wound up cutting it about 5 parts water to 1 part molasses primarily for dust control and to add a touch of sweetness.  Everything slicks up that ration.  Add a quarter to half a cup of vegetable oil to increase the calories in the ration.
